Strategic Factory Eyes Expansion by Centralizing Business Operations
Owings Mills company streamlines production and increases efficiencies by absorbing offsite storefronts
OWINGS MILLS, MD – August 4, 2017 – Strategic Factory is once again streamlining their production capabilities by moving its offsite storefronts in Baltimore, Towson, Hunt Valley and Westminster into their central headquarters and production facility in Owings Mills.
Since it opened in 2015, Strategic Factory’s 40,000-square-foot facility has been the power behind the storefronts, expanding services to include digital marketing, signage, promotional products and branded apparel. Local storefronts remained open for longtime clients to place orders and pick up samples and marketing collateral.
“Over the past few years, the world has changed drastically,” said CEO Keith Miller. “Consumers are no longer utilizing retail brick and mortar storefronts as they did in the past. Reflecting on that, more and more businesses are taking advantage of our fleet of delivery vehicles, available to pick up and drop off whenever needed, along with our custom online portal and website for submitting files exclusively online.”
“To prepare for future expansion at our Owings Mills location, it made sense to move the storefronts and team members into our headquarters sooner rather than later,” Miller said. “Consolidating the storefronts means the entire Strategic Factory family will be under one roof, giving clients the full support of more than 130 team members, including product-specific experts, graphic designers and our marketing department.”
The timing was right, as their 17+ year franchise relationship recently ended under mutual agreement.
“We’ve spent many months deliberating and discussing the many factors and concerns about the separation and, ultimately, the consolidation of our storefronts. We firmly believe this is the right move to support our team, our future growth, and most importantly, our customers,” said Miller.
Effective Monday, August 21, Miller’s Baltimore/Pikesville location will be relocated, and store Manager Amy Whitten can be found at Strategic Factory. The Towson storefront will move to Owings Mills in early October.
